It's a little cloudy today, but as you can see I have other sources of Light and Radiance. We had our six-week appointment with Diane, or main midwife last week Wednesday, and she pronounced him a "thriving newborn" on this, our last check-up with her. He had grown all of 2 inches (from 22 inches at birth, to a round 24 inches) and now weighs 11 lbs 6 oz. That's quite the gain from his birthweight of 7 lbs 5 oz. He's also lost a lot of the hair he had on his head when he was born. We can't get over how much bigger he is, and that he'll be seven weeks old this Thursday!
This pictures were taken this morning when John and I were hanging out together--I was talking and singing to him, and he was in the best of moods, cooing and smiling, and I saw my chance to capture it for you all to see.
It's been a good day. I enjoy my days in the company of this unique little fellow.
